Earths Atmosphere

Earths atmosphere is like a shield around Earth. And so when there is a meteorite coming throw Earths atmosphere the meteorite dissolves to little rocks. Cause Earths atmosphere is like a shield, like most planets don't and moon don't have. Cause moons and planets don't have a atmosphere so when a meteorite hits a moon or planet. The meteorite would hit the moon or planet and leave and huge hole and it would be there for thousands of years.
